Trustee: Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland
Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland is looking for new Trustees to join our Board to help guide its strategic direction and ensure the organisation continues providing essential support to survivors across the region.
RASASH (Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland) provides free, confidential support and information to anyone affected by sexual violence in Highland (age 13+). This includes survivors of sexual violence and their non-abusing partners, friends, and families. They support all genders – women, men, non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming, while recognising that sexual violence disproportionally affects women and girls.
They also develop and deliver training and workshops to schools, youth groups, and professionals on a range of topics related to sexual violence and gender equality. This, alongside our youth-led campaigning, is part of work to change societal attitudes which contribute to sexual violence and the shaming of survivors.
RASASH is the only specialist sexual violence service in Highland. Their service is women-led and trauma-informed.
They are looking for new Trustees to join our Board to help guide our strategic direction and ensure we continue providing essential support to survivors across the region.
Are you passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and shaping the future of a vital Highland charity? Do you have skills, experience, or lived experience that could strengthen our leadership? If so, they’d love to hear from you.
They welcome applications from women across Highland who are committed to RASASH’s mission and values. We particularly encourage applications from those underrepresented in the workforce, including women from diverse ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, disabled women, and women with lived experience of the issues we address.
Applicants do not need any prior experience of being a trustee, as we will provide a full induction. Candidates should ideally live or work in Highland and be able to bring knowledge, insight, and dedication to our Board.
