There is information about rape and sexual violence on this site. We can also post information to you. There are other services near you which can also help.

We have produced a range of publications including leaflets about Rape & Sexual Assault, Childhood Sexual Abuse, information for Parents & Carers, Friends, Partners and Young People, Drug-Assisted Sexual Violence, and Police and Legal Information. We have also just published a leaflet to help people who have been raped or sexually assaulted while they are abroad.

Rape Crisis Scotland also has a range of new self-care resources for survivors.

These twelve new leaflets offer information, tips and links on Self-harm, Dissociation, Sexual health, Flashbacks, Suicidal thoughts & feelings, Anger, Healing from sexual violence, Trauma, Nightmares & sleep problems, Panic attacks, Relationships, and Coping after sexual violence.

Survivors' Guide to the Scottish Justice System
We have also produced a video entitled 'Survivors' Guide to the Scottish Justice System' (overview here) - this is for anyone who is thinking about reporting a sexual crime or who has already reported and their case is currently in Scottish justice system.

The video includes interviews with key professionals and an overview of how to report and what you may expect at each stage of the process.

There is a subtitled version of the video for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing (overview here)

Rape Crisis Scotland also runs a small and completely private Survivors’ Forum on Facebook. This was set up to provide a safe space for members to share experiences around sexual violence and offer support to one another. If you feel this is something that would be helpful to you and would like to find out more, please get in touch with us.
