NEW CENTRE JOINS SCOTTISH RAPE CRISIS NETWORK

WELCOME TO ARGYLL & BUTE RAPE CRISIS

 

Argyll & Bute Rape Crisis has been set up by the local Women’s Aid group. They received funds from the Scottish Executive’s Violence Against Women Service Development Fund, which was announced on 8 March 2004 .

Workers received training from the Rape Crisis Centre in Glasgow and the service is up and running with a helpline open from Mon 9am – Fri 4pm. 24 hour cover during that period. Answerphone at weekend.

This means the Scottish Rape Crisis Network currently has eight member centres , with seven currently providing a support service and the eighth, the new centre in the Western Isles, due to start providing support in the coming months.
