IN GLASGOW
Child
Sexual Abuse Month of Action Forum
In London , a survivor, Sue Melrose had the idea
of a survivor's march, which took place in September 1993. This
march was organised by Cross - Campaign for the Rights of Survivors
of Sexual Abuse. An activist, Ros Barbour, had the idea of wearing
purple ribbons. This has allowed the event to be repeated each
year with the emphasis on raising awareness in the local community.
