ChildLine is the UK's free, 24-hour helpline for children in
trouble or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise
and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere
else to turn.
Children 1st
Children 1st (formerly the Royal Scottish Society for Prevention
of Cruelty to Children) supports families under stress, protects
children from harm and neglect, helps them recover from abuse
and promotes children's rights and interests. Because we know
being a parent isn't easy, we provide the ParentLine Scotland
free national telephone helpline for parents and carers in Scotland.

Glasgow Violence Against Women Partnership
A
multi-agency response to violence against women. The aim is to
prevent male violence, to increase protection and improve the
provision of services for women and children from male violence.

by male violence, including domestic abuse, rape and sexual assault,
child sexual abuse, stalking and prostitution.

Scottish Association for Mental Health
The Scottish Association for Mental Health campaigns on policy
issues and provides a Scotland-wide information service. SAMH

Scottish Victims of Crime
Scottish Executive website with information for anyone affected
by crime or who knows someone affected. Explains what happens
when reporting a crime, after reporting and how the system works.
Scottish Women’s Aid
The national office for the network of 40 local Women's Aid groups
in Scotland. The groups offer a unique service to women, children
and young people who have experienced domestic abuse - refuge,
information and support. Nationally Scottish Women's Aid campaigns
to increase awareness about domestic abuse, provides training,
supports the local groups, helps to establish new groups where
there is no provision at present and lobbys to improve relevant
legislation.

Victim Support Scotland
Victim Support can help whether or not the crime has been reported
to the police: our trained volunteers and staff understand the
consequences of crime, in all its circumstances. We can provide
support in a way which suits you, either by a home visit, office
appointment or over the phone.
WellScotland

lending library; the only women's lending library in the UK; an
archive and resource centre; lesbian archive and info centre.
Zero Tolerance
The Zero Tolerance Charitable Trust works in partnership with
local authorities and a range of statutory and voluntary organisations
to promote innovative policy and practice, including the use of
mass media campaigning and educational materials, which tackle
the root causes of male violence against women and children.
