Centre Development Worker (35 hours/week)
PO1.1 – PO1.4 (£27,714 - £30,084) + pension

This is a new post within Rape Crisis Scotland which is dedicated to providing support to local rape crisis centres and assisting in the development of new rape crisis centres.  The successful candidate will also play a key role in promoting good practice in responding to survivors of sexual violence through the provision of training and educational work.  A thorough knowledge of issues relating to sexual violence is required, as is experience of organisational development.  The successful candidate should also have experience of providing training.

Established in 1978, Edinburgh Women’s Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (EWRASAC), previously known as Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre, provides a unique support service for women and girls aged 12 years and over who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any times in their lives (including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and ritual abuse) and for their supporters.

We are looking for two exceptional women to join our paid staff team. 

Outreach Development Worker: East Lothian Sexual Abuse Service
21 hours per week, £24,636 pro-rata (AP4 Pt 29)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a minimum of three years’ experience of supporting vulnerable service users and experience of service development to develop and deliver EWRASAC’s new support service for women in East Lothian who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.  Duties and responsibilities will include delivery of community-based outreach support, multi-agency working and supervision of a small team of volunteers. The post-holder will receive regular support and supervision and will have access to internal and external training opportunities.

This is a new post funded by the Scottish Government’s Sexual Abuse Service Development Fund until March 2010.

Training Development Worker
35 hours per week £24,636 per annum (AP4 Pt 29)
We are looking for a dynamic and suitably experienced individual with a minimum of three years’ experience of training delivery and development and a minimum of two year’s experience of supporting vulnerable service users.  Duties and responsibilities will include the development, delivery and evaluation of EWRASAC’s training programme for external agencies and internal annual training programme, recruitment, training and assessment of new volunteers and some delivery of support for women and girls who have experienced sexual violence.  The post-holder will receive regular support and supervision and will have access to internal and external training opportunities.

This post is funded by the Big Lottery Fund to 31 August 2012.

Voluntary Board Members
(Minimum commitment of 4 hours per month)
We are looking for committed and dynamic women to join our voluntary Board of Directors and contribute to the governance and strategic development of EWRASAC.  We are looking to strengthen our Board by recruiting women with a background in HR, finance, children’s and young people’s services, social inclusion, strategic and community planning, police and legal services and equalities development.  We would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic women and disabled women.
