Friends, family and others supporting survivors

We can also offer support and information to friends, relative and others who may be wondering how best to be there for a survivor. However, we normally do not accept referrals except from the survivor herself, to ensure it is her choice that she contacts us.

Friends and others can contact our helpline or write for information and it is worth having a look at our ‘information about rape and sexual abuse’ page for some ideas about what to expect and how to be supportive.
